This is my portfolio and three sketchbooks, that show the work and projects that I have completed over the past two years and am currently working on at Leicester College. I have gained a new set of skills and learnt various techniques, and have also gained knowledge and understanding of different fabrics and how they work.
More of my Portfolio is on the second and third pages.
This is a project that I did in my first year, it is based all on architecture and the shape and structure of different buildings, mainly focusing on famous buildings. Most of the media that I used was watercolour paints and fine liner.

This is a project that I recently completed, where I made a jumpsuit out of denim, vinyl and mesh fabric.

This sketchbook is still in progress, and is based on the texture and patterns that is found in fungi. I have started the project off by using techniques such as machine knitting, shibori, couching, tie dye, pom pom making and batik.

For this project I made a shoe out of two types of leathers, I developed my working drawings on the shoe and also learnt new techniques and skills of how to make a shoe.

For this project I had two weeks of life drawing, where I had to learn to draw a body , this was done in timed sessions and the main media I used was pastels and pencils.

In this project I looked at four illustrators and researched them and mimicked their designs using watercolour paints.

For this project, I decided to create twenty- one shoe designs based on ancient Greece. I also created a mood board with pictures taken out of Greek books and I also created a Vogue cover using one of my shoe designs that I created using gauche paint and watercolour.

At the top, these designs were inspired by the illustrator Montana Forbes, these were done over Photoshop and the figures scanned in from my architecture project. On the bottom, I created a Vogue cover using Photoshop using different CAD techniques, also using scanned in figures.

For these six designs, I used Valentino’s 2006 Spring/Summer collection as my inspiration, using watercolour paints to complete them.

This project I did was inspired by famous architectural buildings, this is my mood board for the project. I included pictures of structured dresses inspired by different buildings, and interesting pictures of buildings I found.
For this project I also created thirty designs, and included six final designs for my board. I used famous buildings as my inspiration for  the designs also using different media, such as water colour pencils and fine liner.

In this textile project I did under the sea and used this as my inspiration, as my inspiration this theme worked very well as there are so many different shapes and textures lying on the sea bed that I could re create with different techniques, I used techniques such as knitting, weaving, stitch and fray, bleaching, shibori and tie dye. I really loved this project as it gave  me an opportunity to work with different fabrics and learn different techniques within textiles.
